This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or A-level school leaver wanting to get their first step into a career in accounting.

Salary £14-£16,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the processing of accounting transactions.
  • Assist and support the accounts team as necessary.
  • General ad-hoc duties

Reporting & Supervisory responsibilities

  • To a Senior Accountant
  • No Staff responsibilities initially - may supervise bookkeepers in the future

Specific Tasks involved in the role

  • Assisting in the preparation of Management and year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.
  • Client liaison.

Professional Skills Required

  • Graduate or educated to A-level standard.
  • Previous experience would be an advantage.
  • IT Literate.

Personal Qualities Required

  • Interested in a career in Accountancy, together with the participation in relevant training.
  • Numerate with good problem solving skills
  • Confidence when dealing with clients, genuinely care about giving them a good service.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Personable, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Good organisational ability.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

Training Provided

  • Comprehensive training will be provided on the various software packages used in the office
  • Study support for accounting qualifications such as AAT and ACCA will be provided.
