Personal Support from your team by email or telephone

Once you are a client you will be given the names of two members of staff who will be responsible for your work. One we call an accountant. This person will typically be qualified by examination (AAT) or similar by experience. They can help with your routine day-to-day questions on how to keep records, simple questions - what you are allowed to claim for tax purposes etc. The second we call an Account Manager. This person will normally be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and have at least five years experience in dealing with the tax and accounting needs of small businesses. You will need to speak to them when you want advice on less simple tax matters and general advice on how best to run your business.

You can email and we will try to respond within 24 hours or telephone if you prefer. At the present time teh majority of our team work normal office hours. Our accountants will increasingly be home-based workers - some of whom will be available in the evenings and weekends.

If you are new to business we recommend that you pay for some individual coaching to get you started using the software. Our philosophy is that that you are trying to get your accounting right during the year rather than paying for an accountant to put it right after the year end. The training can be delivered over the telephone - but we have had more success with face-to-face training.

When you are ready to submit your first VAT return we will review it and help put right any problems you have had.

We try to keep the same individuals allocated to you for as long as possible - although clearly this cannot be guaranteed. Get to know them; keep them informed about your plans and they will be able to give you a much more personal service and can try to spot ways to save you tax.
